Here's how it works: As you plant your wildflower seeds, pop in the daffodils, too. You do the work once, but get a double dose of bloom next summer. The daffodils are up and blooming in spring, while the wildflowers around them are just fresh green groundcover. Then, as the daffodils fade, the wildflowers grow tall to cover the daffodil foliage as it dies down. Soon, your garden is in full bloom again, as the wildflowers begin their summer-long bloom! The next year...the same thing happens! All you have to do is keep out weeds and grasses, and you have a super low-maintenance flower garden for years!

When and where to plant: It couldn't be simpler. Just pick a sunny spot where you want color all summer long. At bulb planting time for your area, turn or till the soil and remove all old growth, then pop in the daffodils wher you want them. Next sprinkle the wildflower seed over the whole area, and just compress it into the surface of the bare soil (A lawn roller does a great job...or just walk on it and tamp it down with your feet.) That's all there is to it.
