Sometimes called "Misty Blue Spirea," the Caryopteris shrubs are also called "Bluebeard." "Grand Bleu" is a bit shorter than most at just 3 ft, and the rings of flowers are deep blue and larger than the others. All the "Bluebeards" are great additions in front of taller shrubs and perennials. They're tough, hardy plants with lots of color you can count on.

How To Grow ItTo plant, dig a hole twice the size of the rootball. Remove container, loosen roots to stimulate growth, then backfill with a good outdoor garden mix. Water deeply and regularly during the first year. Mulch to retain moisture. Feed with an all purpose fertilizer in early spring and again in late summer, following application instructions. Prune to maintain shape.
