Yellow raspberries? Yes, and juicy plump ones, at that. Fall Gold blooms and bears when the red ones are going or gone, giving you a late summer and fall crop for wonderful fall recipes. Tough, hardy bushes.

Info on Growing Raspberries. You'll find all you need to know about how to plant, prune and care for raspberries in the plant specifications below, or if you want even more detail, click here for a great article by the Ohio State Univ. Extension Service. Growing Raspberries.

Botanical Name : Rubus idaeus
Common Name : Raspberry
Type : Everbearing - 1 year old plant
Color : Large, deep yellow berries
Height : Bush - 24-36" tall
Spread/Width : Space 24" apart
Bloom Time : Late Summer - Fall harvest. Harvest begins in the second season and once established will last many years given proper care.
Sun/Shade : Full sun
Soil Preferences : Plant canes in Spring in well-draining sandy loam soils with added organic matter and a soil pH of 5.8 to 6.5
Variety : Fall Gold
Advantages : This exotic golden raspberry produces extremely sweet non-crumbling berries that originated in the mountains of Korea.
Used For : Fresh eating, jam / jelly, desserts, salads, & freezes well
Zones : 4-8
How To Grow It : Create a hedgerow with canes 2 feet apart and rows 10 feet apart. Water well. Fertilize your raspberries twice a year, once in early spring before new growth and again in late May. 2-3 lbs of 10-10-10 fertilizer per 100 ft of row for each application. Keep weed-free, watered when necessary and pruned regularly to maintain a quality crop. AFTER CARE: For a summer & fall crop prune back weak and tall canes to 5’ early in the spring and then after the first harvest, remove the canes that produced fruit. Heritage may also be mowed or cut to the ground in March or April for an early August crop.
