Timing, Shipping Method, and Email Confirmations:
As soon as your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. If your order is for seeds only, it will usually be shipped within 5 business days. We use either UPS, USPS, or FedEx Ground, depending on weight and address. You will receive a second email the day your order ships, telling you how it has been sent. If you would like Express or overnight shipping, please either email Customer Service, or call toll free 1-877-309-7333 during business hours (9 to 5, M-F, EST) If your order requires more than one shipment, there is no additional shipping charge.

If your order includes spring bulbs & seeds, we will ship your seeds immediately. After mid-March, we will hold your seeds to be shipped with your bulbs. Spring bulbs arrive from Holland in late March, and shipping begins then, warmest areas first. See chart below. (Bearded Irises are an exception. We do not receive them until August, and they are shipped then.) |

| All orders for Bearded Iris: If you order these, they will ship separately during August when they arrive from our US growers. Irises should be planted as soon as they arrive. Other bulbs ordered will arrive later. |
| All orders with Lilies, Amaryllis and/or Peonies: If your fall bulb order includes these, which arrive from Holland in October, your entire fall bulb order (except Irises which will come in August) will ship in October. |

Holiday Shipments: We ship Amaryllis, Gift Certificates, and other holiday items right up into the week before Christmas. Amaryllis and any other fall bulbs still in stock are also available after the holidays at clearance prices.

- Gifts of Advance Sale Bulbs and Perennials: You may choose an Advance Sale gift for the recipient--and receive great sale prices in our advance sales of spring bulbs and perennials. If your certificate is for bulbs or perennials that will arrive in Spring, please call Customer Service tollfree at 877 309-7333, ext. 14, and we'll be happy to fill out a beautiful Gift Certificate with the "gift to come" information, and send the certificate to you or to the recipient. If you'd like a free greeting card enclosed, please just give us that information in the Comment space on your order.

Our shipping costs are the same for all products, and even if your order requires more than one ship date, there are no extra costs. Shipping charges for the contiguous United States are shown in the chart below. Whatever you order, your credit card will be charged when the order is placed, through our secure server. Info for Orders from outside the contiguous United States: If you are ordering from Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or any other country, our regular shipping charges in the chart above do not apply. To know the actual shipping charge to your location, send an email to Customer Service and we will respond promptly to tell you your actual shipping requirements and costs.
We are anxious to extend our high standards of customer service, and also our quality products to our friends in Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and other countries worldwide. However, we ask that you help us help you by sending an email so we may communicate the requirements for shipping your order. (For example, seed orders going to foreign countries, including Canada, must be examined by the United States Dept. of Agriculture. This takes some time, and there is also a charge.) We are not allowed to ship flower bulbs or live plants to Canada or any other country .
Alaska: Even though regular postage is approximately the same to Alaska, USPS is often too slow for our shipments. There are also weather considerations at certain times of the year, due to possible freezing of live products in transit. When you email, we will inform you of our shipping options.
Hawaii: We’ve found the distance and time required for shipments to Hawaii make sending live plants unsuccessful. For other products, we will be happy to inform you of our shipping options to your state, when we receive your email.
Canada: We are not allowed to ship flower bulbs or live plants outside the United States. We have shipped seeds to our gardening friends in Canada for over 20 years. And even though we are located near the border, the US and Canadian requirements for shipping gardening products can become complicated. For example, Agriculture Canada does not allow certain wildflower seeds to cross the border, and the list includes common favorites such as Chicory and Daisy. Also, like with shipments to Alaska, we must remain aware of the dangers of live products freezing in shipment during cold months.
Other Countries: We are not allowed to ship flower bulbs or live plants outside the United States. We are experienced shipping seeds to many countries worldwide. If you will send us an email, our Customer Service Dept. will be happy to inform you quickly of the timing and costs of getting your order to your location. |
