Storing Your Bulbs Before Planting in Spring
Spring-Planted Bulbs Guide
Purple Shamrock
creates a cushion-like plant with almost black shamrock foliage & delicate pink blooms all summer.
Click for more details on this product.
Here's a particularly interesting and beautiful member of the worldwide Oxalis family, which includes all the wood sorrels and lots of clover-leaved plants of all sizes and descriptions. "Purple Shamrock" begins bloom in early summer and never stops until frost. And of course, its almost black/purple foliages is not only a novelty, it's really dramatic in the garden. Imagine a group of these at the front of your border. They're easy to grow and great for patio pots, however bulbs are tender. If you want them to "come back" and have heavy winters, lift them in fall and store for spring.
