Our new Organic Calendula "Pacific Beauty" Mix gives you blooms in both the natural orange and a beautiful butter yellow. Calendula is a snap to grow, and many cooks use the petals to decorate cakes and pastries. They add bright color to salads, too.

Botanical Name: Calendula officianalis

Common Name: Calendula

Type: Annual. Lives just one year. Grows quickly, blooms heavily, dies with first frost. Can regrow following spring if seed falls on bare ground.

Color: Deep orange to pale yellow flowers

Height: 12-24" tall

Bloom Time: Days to germinate: 5-15 depending on soil and weather conditions. Days to maturity: 65-80. Calendula is one of the first flowers to bloom in the garden. (Early summer until frost)

Flower: Double daisy-like flowers that are 3-4" across.

Sun/Shade: Full sun to partial shade

Soil Preferences: Adaptable

Moisture Requirements: Average moisture, well drained.

Where To Grow It: All regions of North America.
