Cosmos "Picotee" is a hybrid of wild cosmos that has beautiful red edges on each petal. Yes, it's just as easy to grow and just as much at home in meadows as its wild cousins of solid color. This cosmos is magnificent, both in the garden, or in a vase. A great cut flower!
Botanical Name: Cosmos bipinnatus
Common Name: Cosmos
Type: Annual. Lives just one year. Grows quickly, blooms heavily, dies with first frost. Can regrow following spring if seed falls on bare ground.
Color: White flowers with distinctive, rosy-red edging.
Height: 36-48" tall
Bloom Time: Days to germinate: 8-14 depending on soil and weather condtions. Days to maturity: 80-90. (summer until frost)
Flower: Bright, colorful daisy-like blooms on tall stems with ferny leaves.
