Wild Sweet William has endlessly multicolored blooms. Since it's biennial, flowering is best in its 2nd year from seed.

This close relative of the carnation is one of the wildflowers that was taken directly into gardens from the wild. Of course, there are also hundreds of hybrids made from this flower and others in the “pink” family. The wide range of colors and bi-colored blooms make this a truly spectacular wildflower in meadows. A big favorite.
