This beautiful group of nasturtiums stay low and bloom profusely. Best of all, the flowers aren't limited to the common orange. You'll have rich reds and yellows too. These beauties are one of the most widely-used edible flowers, since both the handsome foliage and the flowers can be used to decorate cakes or add color to salads.

Botanical Name: Tropaeolum nanum

Common Name: Nasturtium

Type: Annual. Lives just one year. Grows quickly, blooms heavily, dies with first frost. Can regrow following spring if seed falls on bare ground.

Color: Double blooms in yellow, orange, and deep red.

Height: 15-18" tall

Bloom Time: Days to germinate: 6-15 depending on soil and weather conditions. Days to maturity: 60. (summer until frost)

Sun/Shade: Full sun to partial shade

Soil Preferences: Adaptable.

Moisture Requirments: Average moisture, well drained.
