Description

All about Ajuga: Gardeners have a love or hate relationship with this easy to grow evergreen perennial. If you have moist shady areas youd like covered with a colorful blooming carpet, youll love it. If you let it spread into your lawn, youll probably hate it, since once it gets there, its hard to eliminate it.

Also called Carpet Bugleweed, Ajuga is a small, spreading member of the mint family (you can always tell mints by their square stems) with foliage and flowers in lovely colors. Many are bi-colored and/or variegated, and make a stunning show in the garden. Its perfect for moist, shady areas contained by retaining walls or other hard edging.

Comments about American Meadows Ajuga Pink Lightning:

This is my second year of ordering the Ajuga Pink Lightning. Last year's plants survived the harsh New England winter and are thriving. I purchased five more plants to fill in the area under the large red maple tree in my front yard. This is the ideal plant to compliment the variegated Bishop's weed which I planted in this area.
