Comments about American Meadows Beneficial Bug Wildflower Seed Mix:

I planted some of the seeds in pots but over sowed them so only the cosmos grew. The seeds sowed in a broader area grew well with lots of pretty surprises. Especially liked the herbs, dill and cilantro in the mix. Still enjoying new flowers blooming daily and seeing the insects drawn to the flowers.

Comments about American Meadows Beneficial Bug Wildflower Seed Mix:

I can't find a negative thing about this mix. I put it in designated beds around my garden to attract beneficial bugs and it did just that! Not only that .... it's beautiful !! I live in the southwest high desert and if it grew and bloomed here..... it'll do it anywhere !! Just add water !!

Comments about American Meadows Beneficial Bug Wildflower Seed Mix:

I planted these seeds in 3 areas that I have had trouble filling in with "useful" plants. These started right away and I have been picking beautiful bouquets for my table all summer. They are still producing now and it is late October.. very hardy.. i'll be anxious to see how they come back in year #2. Year #1 gets an A+ grade from me. My wife complained that they came in too full!!! Can you fix that?.. :)

Comments about American Meadows Beneficial Bug Wildflower Seed Mix:

I planted this a large meadow in the front yard of my home. I knew that so many new plants would be certain to attract unwanted pests. I decided to get this mix as part of my overall design and boy am I glad I did! I saw aphids at the beginning of the season but I also saw ladybugs...on the same plant. I didn't introduce one single bug, so everyone just sorta showed up. I'm confident it's because I attracted them all here with this mix of flowers and herbs. They look great and they keep my meadow healthy. In fact, I haven't had any problems with unwanted pests or pest damage...now if they would only deter the deer :)

Easy to grow. Low maintenance. And it is good for the environment. What more could you want? This is a fun seed. It draws the good guys into your meadow. I have animals and none have been stung so I would imagine the insects it draws are child friendly too. Much of the seed produces plants that are low and fill in nicely along taller plants.

Comments about American Meadows Beneficial Bug Wildflower Seed Mix:

I sprinkled these seeds around the outside border of my veggie garden and they grew quickly and filled in the whole area. Last year we had a bug problem which we don't seem to have this summer so that would imply that the flowers are working. The only thing that I would say as a negitive is that the seed are mostly Cosmos with some Sweet Alyssum and some Cilantro but not much else. The cosmos are pretty but are so tall and full they don't seem to be letting much else grow. Would have liked less cosmos and more variety from the seed mix.

                    USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

                    • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
                    • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
