Our Master Gardeners Suggest Pairing With:
Gardeners love Polianthes Tuberose "The Pearl" for its beautiful, fragrant white flowers and stunning statement it makes either in the garden or cut in bouquets. The bulbs are planted in the spring to produce blooms in mid to late summer. The double, white blooms will fill your garden with a lovely fragrance and provide a lovely show in the late summer. Gardeners in areas that receive frost will want to dig the bulbs up at the end of the season and store them for the winter.

Comments about Double Tuberosa The Pearl:

I ordered three packages of these and split them in packs and gave them to 4 people that had gone to Hawaii together. We all had great results! I odered them at the end of March and they were at my door within 2 weeks and were planted within a few days. Having a short growing season, we all wished that they arrived much earlier. The package says about 120 days to bloom. Not in Minnesota...it took at least three more weeks for us. 5 bulbs developed spikes and bloomed by the end of the first week in September. (We are hoping for more to develope) They smell just like the Hawaiian Lei that was given to each of us in Hawaii. Now we each have Hawaii right here in Minnesota! I can't wait until next year for them to bloom all over again! I will start mine in the house in early March. I have put these flowers in the bathroom and in the living room and the smell is fabulous!
