Samish: Dark green leaves are large and savoyed at maturity and offer unusual thickness and bulk. Great for spring and fall sowings. Good disease resistance.
When and Where to Plant: Cool Season Hardy Annual. Sow seeds as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring and again in late summer for fall harvest. Harvest as baby leaves or large full-size leaves. Fall plantings of spinach can overwinter in some mild areas. Does best with high fertility and a pH of 6.5-7.0. Plant Height: 4-8" tall.
