Description
Minimus is one of the most striking wild forms of snow crocus. With heavy purple flame on pure white, these little jewels literally sparkle in early spring. Great for wildflower gardens.

These are the ones called 'Snow Crocus' for obvious reasons. They bloom well before the Dutch Crocus, so for a long season of crocus bloom, plant them both. They work almost exactly the same. Unlike the Dutch crocus group of hybrids, these are true 'wild bulbs'--species crocus that grow in the wild in Greece and other areas. Add these jewel-toned beauties to your wildflower collection, and you'll enjoy them for years.

Comments about American Meadows Wild Crocus Bulbs Minimus:

What a great way to liven up the flower beds up close to the house or along the walkway. I get so excited in the spring when the bulbs start to brighten up the boring winter flower beds. Cant wait till next year to have even more popping up around the shrubs!

Comments about American Meadows Wild Crocus Bulbs Minimus:

I was incredibly disappointed with these bulbs. The flowers didn't end up looking nearly as vibrant and colorful as those in the picture. Mine were purple on the outside before they opened, but when they opened they were solid white with an orange pistil. They definitely didn't look like I expected them to look based upon the photo. The only good thing about them, in my opinion, is that most of them came up.

Comments about American Meadows Wild Crocus Bulbs Minimus:

I was lame last year and didn't get these in the ground until early November, and even then, I just kind of pulled the soil back and dropped them in. We have heavy clay soil, and I really didn't expect them to grow. I'd actually forgotten about them! Now it's spring and wee little purple blooms are appearing in the lawn, even under the tree in full shade! This was by far my easiest gardening experience. Next fall, I'll plant twice as many, and give a little more love to the planting process.
