Time-Honored Flowers On Tall, Colorful Stalks

Why Plant Gladiolus Flower Bulbs?

Gladiolus are classic summertime flowers that are most well-known for their wide range of vivid colors. Florist favorites, they're often used in cut flower bouquets. Traditional Gladiolus are planted as annuals in the spring, and can be lifted and stored over winter to replant the following season, while Hardy Gladiolus are cold tolerant to zone 5. These tall, graceful flower spikes are perfect for the back row of a flower bed. They can also be planted as colorful vertical accents to fill in a perennial garden.
