Comments about American Meadows Siberian Scilla Bulbs - Bag of 15:

I was being adventuresome when I ordered these, and I think I completely forgot about them until I saw them pop up one day in late-Febraury since we had quite a mild winter. They are very small so I almost missed them. I think I may move them to a more prominent spot. Overall, they are a nice addition to the daffodils and crocuses.

I got these as a free gift with an order and threw them into my flower bed by my front door, then promptly forgot about them. Until they popped up. These have beautiful bright blue blooms on them. They really stand out and command attention. You can see these little flowers from down the street, they are so bright. A truly wonderful surprise.

Comments about American Meadows Siberian Scilla Bulbs - Bag of 15:

To plant these Scilla Bulbs I use a long 1" drill bit. I drilled the hole alittle extra deep and then back filled soil to proper planting depth for the Scilla bulb...I added just a little bit of sand in the root area so that the bulbs had a little drainage...These bulbs do best under dicidous trees...The bulbs would cook in the full sun...My trees leaf out after flowering of bulbs are done...The bluish purple blooms are showey and last for about 2 weeks...As always let your greenery fade as it helps feed the bulbs below for next years energy...Our neighbors all asked, "What are those flowers called.....They wanted some...I'm waitng to see if they will spead over the years...I just love these flowers....I forgot to mention, I planted these flower bulbs right in our lawn , so let folage dye back before you mow over them....And I added bone meal to the backfill soil...Just a little bit...I will order more for the south end of our propery...American Meadows friend, Nina
