Description
This one is unique. Shirley is one of the most delicately colored tulips of them all. It's icy white, with sort of a mist of lavender sprinkled over the petals, and then finished with a fine matching edge. Imagine this one planted near a strong purple or pink, and imagine the arrangements it can create! Be sure to invite 'Shirley' into your garden for next spring.

        These tulips are gorgeous. When they first opened, I wasn't sure I'd made the right choice in combining them with the Dreaming Maid I ordered at the same time, but was I ever wrong. They were a pale greenish-yellow when first opened, but they quickly faded to yellowish-white tinged with lavender and have continued to darken to a light lavender with a darker lavender border. They look great with the Dreaming Maid!

          Mine haven't yet bloomed but are about too (last week of April in Wisconsin). All bulbs came up and have buds. I purchased this bulb previously and the blooms were nice sized, surprisingly long-lasting, and changed colors beautifully as they aged. When the previous bulbs were lost due to tree removal, I was quick to purchase the same again because of their performance.
