Comments about American Meadows Organic Flower Fertilizer:

Getting large blooms in the desert soil is not easy. Using this product in what passes as soil here in the desert enhances your soil and the flowers love it. I had more blossoms that were bigger and lasted longer than I have had in years. Even my neighbors commented about how lush and beautiful my annual wildflower bed looked this year. The product is easy to use, not only because it comes in a small bag that is easy to carry in one hand, but also since the grains of fertilizer are big enough to see where they land. This ensures even distribution on the soil and around the garden.

        USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

        • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
        • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
