This traditional, New England style hod is perfect for harvesting fruits, vegetables and cut flowers. The coated mesh construction makes it easy to rinse off your harvest. This durable basket is constructed in England of pine and can be used in countless ways both in the garden and the home. Choose from two sizes, depending on your need (Small measures 16" L x 9" W x 7" H overall; basket is 5" H and Large measures 19" L x 11" W x 11" H overall; basket is 5-1/2").

Historically used by Maine clam diggers for hauling their catch, our Harvest Baskets are a convenient and durable solution to many uses around the garden. They are rugged enough to transport your hand tools to and from the garden, yet elegant enough to store onions on your kitchen counter. These durable Harvest Baskets come in two sizes to fit any need. Constructed in England of pine and maple with a hand-rubbed oil finish, food-grade, vinyl-covered mesh.

USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

  • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
  • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
