The beauty of broccoli in the garden means great vegetable dishes and pastas, plus crisp cold appetizers and beautiful "florets" for all your salads, too. It's one of those vegetables that's "good" and "good for you!"
When and Where to Plant: For early crop start seeds indoors in pots
or flats 6-8 weeks before setting out. For later crop start seeds outdoors
in a warm and sunny location after last frost. Sow fall crop 10-12 weeks
before fall frost date. Loosen soil with a spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable
food and water thoroughly. Firm soil over seed.
Care: Water regularly, feed every 4 weeks and protect from insects..
Harvesting: Cut 6”/15 cm. below head when buds are still tight. Will mature in 60-80 days when started from trasnplants.
