Eastern Wildflower Meadows:

Member's Meadow - Pam Roberts’ exquisite Flower-Petal Art One of our members uses her wildflower meadow in a unqiue way---she makes beautiful pictures and custom framed monograms from the flower petals! Her business, "Alexa-Jayne" has raised dried flower craft to a new level.

Member's Meadow - 15 years later, MA meadow still going strong! Years ago, we featured this couple’s meadow in our printed catalog. They saved the catalog, and recently sent us a scan of the page and a photo of the meadow today. Now that’s meadow success!

Member's Meadow - Blue and White Blaze of Perennials. Early summer in a wild meadow brings a big beautiful surprise—the favorite combination of lupine and daisies—floral fireworks in blue and white. Only the beginning of Maureen Nikora’s third year with wildflowers.

Member's Meadow - Magnificent bloom at a Church Charity compound in NY State Member Johnny Scott planted our Northeast Mix along the driveway approaching his charity-based community. The whole community and all their visitors enjoyed a bright blaze of annuals the summer after planting.

Member's Meadow - Most Beautiful Septic Area in Connecticut Many of our members use wildflower seeds to landscape a freshly renovated septic system. It's a great chance to plant wildflowers when the soil is bare.

Member's Meadow - Orlando's Ritz Carlton treats golfers to a spectacular show of Wildflowers. One of Florida’s finest hotels created a big show on their golf course with our wildflowers. Seeded in Oct., its a great example of fall planting in frost-free climates. The Ritz had magnificent full bloom for winter guests.

Member's Meadow - The Hoeflers live in the Middle of a Meadow Joanne Hoefler in Pompey, NY decided she had too much lawn all around her beautifuil house high on a hill. So she put in wildflowers, and just look at the success! (This story introduces a new use for a jeep.)

Member's Meadow - Wildflower Memory Garden in Cullman, AL When her great grandparents passed away, the whole family pitched in to plant a Memory Garden. Olivia Wittlock, Age 4, did her part with a beautiful garden of wildflowers.

Member’s Meadow - After construction, a beautiful quick fix. After a major renovation in spring, the ugly bare ground presented an opportunity. Wildflowers were seeded, and in just a few weeks, the bloom began, and continued to a spectacular fall finale.

Member’s Meadow - Heritage Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL A volunteer church project turned an unused area beside this church’s parking lot into a meadow of bloom. The church is on a major thoroughfare in Pensacola, and passers-by now enjoy the wildflowers as much as the church members.

Member’s Meadow - Maryland roadside abloom. Glenn Evans planted 600 feet along the roadside, and ever since, motorists have been slowing down to enjoy the show. Some even stop and express how much they enjoy the drive-by beauty. Wild larkspur and other wildflowers bloomed beautifully.

Member’s Meadow - New Hampshire Perennial Parade John St. John, a member in New Hampshire was kind enough to send us two summer photos of his wildflower garden taken about a month apart. A great example of how the wild perennials bloom.

Members Meadow - Fields of flowers in the Virginia mountains. Jim and Susan McDowell have made a success of the Great American Dream of moving to the country and starting a business. Today, The Valley of Virginia Wildflowers and Country Antiques is a reality, in Virginia's magnificent Shenandoah Valley.

Midwestern Wildflower Meadows:

Member's Meadow - Easy-care borders of Wildflowers in Michigan Jim Coleman, a member in Mattawan, MI, has been working on his wildflower borders for a couple of years. His success is a great example of how they add wonderful color and character to a beautiful home.

Member's Meadow - Illinois acerage abloom with color. Larry Musil, out in northern Illinois, is a wildflower pro. He's been planting his acreage with wildflowers for over 20 years. Just take a look at the beautiful scenes he's created, ablaze with color, birds and butterflies.

Member's Meadow - Minnesota Hillside in Bloom Mr. and Mrs. Tim Thompson of Winona, MN, have been planting our wildflower seeds for several years. They recently shared a nice note and some beautiful photos showing how they've landscaped their property.

Member's Meadow - Ohio lake property bursts into bloom! Tom Jones, with a new lakefront property in Ohio, decided on a wildflower meadow. Here he is in the middle of the flowers, now a dedicated wild gardener!

Member's Meadow - Problem roadside a problem no more. Sometimes it's called a swale, sometimes, a parkway, but that strip of ground between the sidewalk and the street is what was the problem. Look how the Schaefers solved it--with traffic-stopping wildflowers.

Member’s Meadow - First year bloom is paradise for Pete, the dog. Here’s one of our favorite Member photos. Charles Kunz, a member in Michigan, sent us shots of first bloom with our Midwestern Mix. It shows a meadow is a pleasure for all—even Pete, Mr. Kunz’s dog who loves exploring amid the flowers.

Member’s Meadow - Great color from 2nd year flowers Member Diana Edwards sent us beautiful photos of her wildflower plantings during the summer of their second year bloom. Perennials in full bloom create a blaze of color.

Western Wildflower Meadows:

Member's Meadow - Home with two Ocean Views: The Pacific and a sea of flowers. Terry Allen, in Washington state, has created a magnificent oceanfront setting for her home. A dazzling wildflower meadow sweeps all the way down to the water from the beautiful house.

Member's Meadow - Southern California Wildlife Paradise Here's the story of how one member worked several years on several acres of land to create an incredibly beautiful...and equally successful... wildlife habitat. Today, birds and butterflies, rabbits and other small wildlife are all enjoying it all on a daily basis.

Member’s Meadow - Riverfront Wildflowers on the Lewis & Clark Trail Member Bob Hennig lives in a very historic spot. Lewis & Clark themselves ventured down the Columbia River in 1805, right past Mr. Hennig’s land! Creating a wildflower garden in this setting has to be more than beautiful; it’s historic.

Member’s Meadow - Wildflowers in containers, and a field of pressed flowers on paper. Marlene Highet in Vancouver, BC, Canada has used our wildflower seeds to create magnificent window boxes, patio planters and pots. And she sent us a pressed-flower thank you about it all.

Fall and Spring Bulbs, nationwide:

Member's Meadow - Dazzling Dahlia Arrangements Member Susan Turk, out in Vallejo, CA, is a dahlia expert. She grows all kinds of dahlias for cutting, and just look at those magnificent arrangements!

Member's Meadow - Holiday Treat, a champion Amaryllis. A member in New York State ordered an Amaryllis bulb, and expected the usual bloom for the holidays. She was thrilled to find that our new "Full House" variety gave her not one, not two, but three big blooming stalks.

Member's Meadow - How to Naturalize Daffodils Visit Prof. Wes Crawford's magnificent woodland garden of daffodils. Remembering a childhood scene, he's created a fantastic spring garden in his woodland, showing how easy it is to plant daffodils in a natural setting.

Member's Meadow - I love my tulips! Karen Tabaka is a young first home owner who used tulips for landscaping at her new home in St. Louis. When spring came, she was thrilled at how beautifully they bloomed. She was creative in her planting, mixing colors and creating accent beds of color.

Member’s Meadow - My Favorite Dahlia Janine Dellinger is a member who loves dahlias. She also grows plenty of other bulbs and perennials, but this dahlia is “her favorite.” She writes that all her bulbs from American Meadows keep her gardens in beautiful bloom.

Member’s Meadow - Better-than-ever Tuberous Begonias. Member Diane Zimberoff has been growing begonias for years. When she needed a new supplier this spring, she found AmericanMeadows.com, and is thrilled with this year’s results.

Member’s Meadow - Red Flash Caladium lights up a yard in Missouri. Member William Semsrott likes caladiums, and he sent some photos to let us know our bulbs of “Red Flash” are well-named. Big, beautiful leaves plus a nice bloom as a bonus.

Member's Meadow - Our Mini-Packets are a "huge hit" at a Bridal Shower Our member, Grace Church was planning a Bridal Shower for a friend, and discovered our Wildflower Seed Packets. With our packets and her creativity, Ms. Church created wonderful favors for the shower.
