More Information

Everyone loves hummingbirds - those flying jewels that flash through our landscape. Invite them to stop and stay for a while with our Hummingbird Garden Kit, which supplies the nectar they need to fuel their high-energy lives. The kit includes a 1-oz packet of our exclusive Hummingbird & Butterfly Garden Wildflower Seed Mix and an Audubon(R)-approved Hummingbird Feeder.

The seed packet contains more than 10,000 flower seeds -- enough to cover 150 to 250 sq. ft. -- and includes colorful hummingbird favorites like scarlet sage, rose mallow, wild lupine and nasturtium. The hummingbird feeder holds 12 oz. of nectar (made by boiling 1 cup water with 1/4 cup white sugar and allowing to cool) and has six feeding stations and a built-in ant guard. It's easy to clean and dishwasher safe -- and a clean feeder is vital to protect the birds' health. 8" diameter.

USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

  • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
  • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
