"Iceberg" is synonomous with "lettuce" in the US, where everyone expects great crispness and delicious taste. Perfect to receive your favorite dressing.
When and Where to Plant: Select a sunny, well drained location and sow
seed as soon as the ground can be worked. For an earlier crop start seeds
indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Sow in late summer for a fall crop.
For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food
and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed.
Care: Keep soil moist, weed free and feed 4-5 weeks after planting.
Harvesting: Heads are ready when center feels firm.
