How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
24-36" tall x 18-24" wide. Aster ‘Frikartii Monch’, also known as Frikart’s Aster and Wonder of Staffa is one of the earliest-blooming asters to be found. A standout in border plantings and in the cottage garden, this light lavender-blue variety attracts a flurry of pollinator activity to its nectar-rich blooms. Healthy, deep-green foliage is quick-growing and resistant to disease, lending a sense of fullness to beds. Covered in flowers for much of the season, Frikartii Monch prefers full sun and average soil but will settle for part shade and a moister site. Winter hardy to zone 5.

"Looks great in with wildflowers"
"This is the first time I have ordered from American Meadows. I was very disappointed to find that the plants that were shipped were in 2-1/4" nursery pots, instead of the advertised 3" pots. They weren't even the deep pots that High Country uses. For perennials, this is a very small pot with a much smaller plant. The plants were quite pot bound, which makes acclimation to a new environment more difficult."
"First year for this aster. A little slow in starting, but it did achieve the height stated in description and grew into a nice, full plant. However, it did not produce flowers in June (maybe because it's in its first year), but it is covered in buds at this point (Aug 14) and has three very lovely flowers of a beautiful color. Joyfully anticipating the beauty it will be adding to my garden in the upcoming weeks."
"Very colorful"
"Planted in June and full flower in September. Bloomed through the first snow in December!"
"I really like this plant."
"This is a great product!"
