Carnations all have the same botanical name--Dianthus--and they're all beautiful. Since Elizabethan times, they have added great color and their distinctive clove fragrance to the best flower gardens. From small, brilliant-hued pinks to the full-sized powder-puff carnations, they're all wonderful for garden color and elegant arrangements.
