One of the best things about Gaillardias is their long season of bloom. While an Iris or even a Poppy will give you just a week or two of bloom, a perennial Gaillardia goes on for months. These will be some of your major perennial colormakers. And they're tough, hardy plants, dependably perennial for decades, with increasing clumps every year.
