This Heather is one of the bud-blooming type. That means brilliantly-colored buds appear, and never really open. Instead, the strings of colored pearls light up your garden for months--from late summer, often right into winter.
Lady in Pink grows only 18 tall and about the same in width. Remember, the main reason for plant loss with heathers is lack of water, however, the spot must drain quickly--no soggy soil! The love moisture, but must not be over-watered. Another thing to avoid is too much nitrogen fertilizer. So baby your heather plants their first year. It's worth it, since once heathers are established, they are hardy as oaks.
