Description
This Siberian is super-beautiful, especially when viewed from above. Each classically colored petal is finely edged in silver, giving the Siberian iris a whole new look of refinement. An exquisite hybrid, with more appeal than any of the older blue ones.

Siberian Irises are the ones that form an elegant clump of tall deep green grass-like leaves, with flowers on long stems that open above the foliage. With flowers somewhat smaller than the huge Bearded Iris, these are the ones that are the easiest to grow and surely the most hardy. Clumps return dependably each year with more and more flowers. Great landscape plants.

Comments about American Meadows Siberian Iris Silver Edge - Root:

I planted ten of these in the Fall and only one sprouted. I have watered it all winter and spring and it is still only about a foot high with no flower. I replanted another ten in the Spring since the plants were guarenteed and not a one of those came up. So I have one plant from 20 bulbs.

Comments about American Meadows Siberian Iris Silver Edge - Root:

I planted this Iris along with several others in an open field last spring. It grew slowly but by the middle of summer was up and blooming. With the harsh winter we had in the East, I wasn't sure I'd see it return but every one I planted is up again and I anticipate the delicate blossoms again.
