Description

Hameln is one of the best small Fountain Grasses, reaching only about three feet. This beauty is useful in full sun or partial shade.

The perennial fountain grasses are a prized group for landscaping accents, and they live up their name. They are mound-forming creating a fountain-like focal point wherever they grow, with a spectacular bloom in midsummer.

Ornamental Grasses provide texture, uniqueness, and beauty that will set off your favorite blooming flowers. Not only a dynamic element to your garden, Ornamental Grasses are extremely easy to grow, maintain, and will provide additional interest by evolving in seasons while the rest of your garden may be resting.

Comments about American Meadows Fountain Grass Hameln:

These plants arrived in little 1 inch pots in April 2015 and I planted them immediately. At the time they were dormant, which translates to "they look dead"! I couldn't have been more wrong! I thought I would probably have to wait until at least next summer to see any real growth, if they grow at all. To my surprise, they have grown to about a foot and a half and all of them already have the beautiful 'feathers'. Next summer they will be gorgeous! Wouldn't think of shopping anywhere else for my plants. Thank you!

Comments about American Meadows Fountain Grass Hameln:

They arrived alive and well packaged. I planted them the same day the arrived in late April (zone 6) and within 3 to 4 weeks they were established and growing. They reached their potential by August and have looked great since! Had a wet prolonged spring, but they held their own.

Comments about American Meadows Fountain Grass Hameln:

Used as a background plant in a large flower bed. Unfortunately, two of the three plants died shortly after planting and the third never really established itself. Flowers have grown up over the grass so the entire "look" isn't right.

        Both 2, both didn't survive

Comments about American Meadows Fountain Grass Hameln:

Not sure what happened to these plants. bought 2 along with a host of other plants. All survived and thrived, but these looked dead right out of the box. I left them for 4-6 weeks but no new growth.

Full sun, moist (but not wet) loam soil.

Comments about American Meadows Fountain Grass Hameln:

This is a wonderful little grass that makes a great addition to mixed containers. It is difficult to find and American Meadows is the only place I could find it.

The prices were more than reasonable.
