My russian sage are Flourishing
By Jesse A.
from Firestone, CO
We received are product in a timely fashion. Of the 24 plants, only 2 have had a rough time (seems 6.5 inches of rain in two hours, 17.5 in three days)due to being at the lowest point on our property. The did well. Can't wait till next year to see how they really take off! Thanks
Hot start killed it
About Me Getting Started
This was delivered late for our early, hot summer. I set out six plants, and one survived. I kept them watered, but the full sun was too much for five of them. Sixth pulled through and is thriving now.
A Great Plant

About Me Avid Gardener
This is the easiest plant to grow. Mine are in their second year, and they are doing so well with the new growth. I took a clipping from one last year, and so I now have three. They are healthy without any additives of fertilizers. I am looking so forward to two months from now when they will bloom like mad!

2/3 I bought died within 3 days, all are planted as directed in the tag and are even in the same area (soil conditions/ sunlight) so it's pretty disappointing I was also looking forward to the fast growing so far it has not
Disappointed in quality of plant

I bought seven Russian sages; they were all small, undeveloped, puny, and I don't expect any of them to make it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

wonderful for xeriscape
By Wendy, native CA
from SF Bay interior valley
Planted this on a large slope with clay soil, no irrigation and full sun in a semi-xericspe perennial flower bed. The fine airy texture made a nice backdrop for echinacea. It does go dormant in the winter in USDA zone9. The remaining white stems are attractive however, they need to be cut back in early spring before the new growth begins. The stems can be somewhat brittle and can be blown over in high winds. The foliage has a pleasant minty fragrance when brushed against though some may consider it medicinal. A dwarf version is 'Little Spires'. A nice alternative to lavender. Please ignore the cons--meant to enter it in the 'best use' box and couldn't erase it.

This Plant is a Beauty!
from Great Falls, VA
I live in the woods with lots of shade and deer. I only plant perennials because I'm basically lazy. I prefer a more natural look to my garden than a professional or showy look. This plant fits in perfectly--it comes back stronger year after year. It is attractive but doesn't overpower the look. I've ordered more that will be delivered next week because I want to put some near the pool!
