Liatris microcephala (aka Dwarf Blazing Star) is a butterfly and hummingbird-attracting plant with spiky purple blooms and grass-like foliage. Happy with poor soils and tough conditions, this native beauty handles heat and drought beautifully and can also tolerate the humidity of the deep south. Blooms appear and open from top to bottom on showy, upright stalks. A true low-maintenance plant. (Liatris microcephala)
Daylily ‘Double Dream’ pops with color just as spring flowers fade, making it a must-have for the summer garden. Cheery double blooms in luscious apricot-peach make this sweetly-scented daylily the perfect complement to the blues and violets of summer flowers – it even re-blooms in early fall!
