Description

This is the sweet green seedless grape everybody loves to eat. With its unique honey flavor, the Himrod grape has become world famous. Its also easy to grow, in all but the coldest climates.

Choose a spot in the garden with good drainage in full sun. Excellent quality white seedless grapes. Produces large bunches of juicy honey flavored fruits.

PLANTING DIRECTIONS:
1. Plant in early spring as soon as your soil can be worked. Grapes will grow in most well draining soils with pH preferably between 5.6 and 6.4.
2. Place your rooted cutting in a hole large enough to spread roots in a downward outward fashion.
3. Fill hole, tamp soil around grape and water well. Prune cutting back to a single cane leaving 2-3 buds.
4. After danger of frost is past and growth has begun, remove all but the 2 strongest shoots per vine.

HARVEST TIME: Early season

HABIT: Grapes require pruning and adapt well to many different shapes and forms. Ornamental trellises, arbors, or fences may be used to support your crop.

USAGE: Fresh eating, jams and jellies, juice making, desserts and raisins.

PLANTING TIPS: Keep well watered and weed free to ensure a good crop. Established grapes well adapted to your climate will produce grapes for many years. Prune your vines in early spring remembering that they bear fruit on one year old wood.

Comments about American Meadows Seedless Grape Himrod - Package of 1:

I have purchased many fruits and flowers and flowering shrubs from American Meadows. I stumbled on them on the web and decided to " take a chance" and order some grapes and strawberry plants ,Wow am I glad I did.
Just ordered more Hydrangea plants for the 17000 square feet yard area to plant. Fear not , this has all quality root stock!

Comments about American Meadows Seedless Grape Himrod - Package of 1:

This grape is delicious for fresh eating, can be dried for raisins, and would make very nice juice -- maybe even wine -- if the birds ever left me any! It's very sweet with a kind of fizzy, sparkling taste in the mouth. Easy care except for pruning when you need someone to show you how the first time.
