Description
This close relative of the carnation is one of the wildflowers that was taken directly into gardens from the wild. Of course, there are also hundreds of hybrids made from this flower and others in the “pink” family. The wide range of colors and bi-colored blooms make this a truly spectacular wildflower in meadows. A big favorite.

Comments about American Meadows Sweet William Seeds:

I sprinkle the seeds on bear ground in shady areas and they make a magnificent ground cover that's green even in the winter. Fragrant, delicate flowers. Able to withstand some foot traffic. Very low growing. Good for alternative lawn in areas not able to be mowed. A++++

I have an area about 30 feet by 30 feet. I plant this every two years and then have a beautiful crop every two years. I don't have any pictures handy, but the garden is a very colorful site then they bloom in late June in Minneapolis, MN.

I just planted last fall, so haven't seen full results yet. This however is the one wild flower the deer don't destroy in my yard.
