Brandywine: The heirloom which sets the standard for superb tomato flavor. Large, juicy, beefsteak fruits commonly weigh over 1 lb each with a reddish pink color and slightly ribbed.
When and Where to Plant: Tender Annual. Transplanting is recommended. Start seeds 6-8 weeks before planting date. Seeds can be sown thick in one cell and then planted into individual cells after true leaves appear. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 75-85ºF. Plant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed, and night temps are above 45ºF. Trellising is recommended.
