This is the non-curly parsley, with the familiar parsley taste, but more of the look of cilantro.

Plant Information

Parsley is one of the herbs that is really beautiful in the garden, and unlike curled parsley, this one is more ferny, a lot like cilantro in appearance. It's good for more than just garnish, too. For example, great fish recipe sauces using parsley in a big way are in most every cookbook.

When and Where to Plant: Soak seeds for 24 hours then plant in sunny location as soon as soil can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food. Firm soil over seed. In the fall set young plants in pots and grow on window sill indoors.
Care: Keep soil moist, clean and feed every 6 weeks.
Harvesting: For best flavor, pick early in the morning. Flavoring improves with successive cuttings.

The items I ordered came quickly. Think this site is awesome. When something did not grow they gave me credit or another. Professional people that are very personable with people. Plants I am learning need patience and sometimes the first year they do not bloom but if green they are good to go for the next year! Which I have learned through this site. New to all of this but love love love it!

I planted these seeds directly into a large pot along with Dill and Cilantro. They all grew perfectly.

                      USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

                      • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
                      • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
