Description

Also called "scallions," these thin green onions can be planted several times, every 15 days or so. The last crop can stay in the ground all winter.

When and Where to Plant: Select a sunny, well drained location and sow seed as soon as the ground can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed. For early crop start seeds indoors 8-12 weeks before planting outdoors. In frost-free regions plant in fall for spring harvest.
Care: Keep soil weed free and feed every 6-8 weeks.
Harvesting: Harvest as needed as they only keep 1-2 weeks..
