When and Where to Plant:
Tender Annual. Transplanting is recommended – Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before planting date. Seeds can be sown thick in one cell and then planted into individual cells after a few sets of leaves appear. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 75-85ºF. Plant outdoors, either in the ground or in a container, after all danger of frost has passed and night temperatures are above 45ºF. Black Cherry Tomatoes prefer full sun and can be harvested in about 64 days from planting. Trellising is recommended for optimal growth.
