Harvesting: Pick outer greens when the plants are young. Begin pulling roots when they reach 2" in diameter.

I was going to sell these at my roadside produce stand but they were too bitter. It could have been my growing conditions but I am a little leary.
To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
