Comments about American Meadows Sweet Alyssum Seeds:

I live in Zone 7 (Texas) where it is very dry and hot. Sweet Alyssum seeds perform like a charm here, provided you water the seeds to get them to germinate. From then on, once or twice a week watering is all that's needed. The germination rate is great, and blooms follow about a month or two later. And what a sweet fragrance!!

Comments about American Meadows Sweet Alyssum Seeds:

For years I tried to grow alyssum from pots at chain stores. They would always die in the heat. But these little seeds are so dependable. In Nov/Dec I sprinkle them around... toss some leaves or a lite coating of soil or nothing on top and then in the spring they bloom very reliably. If you cut the tops off and toss them where you want next years crop to come up you can spread them around the garden. These delicate little things grow reliably in the green space between the sidewalk and the street. They go to seed when the heat sets in only to bloom again the next year. I like them so much I bought more this year.

Just sprinkle some seeds on bare soil and in a month you'll have gorgeous white blooms that smell of honey! Perfect filler for paths and flowerbeds.
It does reseed itself, but you'll still want to buy more seeds so you can seed every 2 months during the bloom season for constant blooms.

Comments about American Meadows Sweet Alyssum Seeds:

I use AM Sweet Alyssum seeds to fill in around all my bulbs, periennials and in pots because they complement everything. They grow quickly to stiffle weeds, and are blooming in a matter of weeks. In full sun, and with generous hose sprinkling, they begin sprouting in about 3 days, and are a beautiful green carpet until the blooms arrive. In Florida, they grow year round, and survived the 2010 cold and frosts. They easily re-seed. Sprinkle the seeds generously on the ground and water, and watch them grow into a beautiful white carpet.
