Description

Morning Glories are fast-growing, vigorous climbing vines with profuse, brightly colored blooms. This variety produces sky blue, funnel-shaped flowers with a tinge of yellow in the throat.

Provide a sturdy trellis, pergola or other support for the vines, which get large -- and heavy -- by the middle of the summer. Vines grow up to 15' tall.

Morning glories have tough seed coats. To speed up the germination process, soak seeds in warm water for several hours before planting.

Comments about American Meadows Morning Glory Seeds:

I live in Zone 7 (Texas) where it is dry and hot. Morning glories love it here. If you put out seeds along a fence, they'll cover the entire fence in once season. These heavenly blue morning glories tend to bloom longer into the day and also later in the season than other morning glories. Here in Texas, I still had lots of blooms last November. I soak the seeds in a glass of water for 48 hours (sometimes even another day or so) and then just scatter them on the ground in April. Then I either walk over them or press them with something a bit into the ground. I've also had success with them if I put a thin layer of dirt over them. Then I water them regularly for a week or so. That's all that's needed. From then on, they keep growing and growing and eventually blooming and blooming. They reseed easily and you'll have new plants the following spring. I love them.

Comments about American Meadows Morning Glory Seeds:

Especially useful along a fence line, this vigorus bloomer will fill your mornings with beautiful color. As with any Ipomoea, wetting the seeds overnight (I arrange seeds in a wet paper towel in a plastic container) enhances germination.

Comments about American Meadows Morning Glory Seeds:

This is a great flower vine that can be used to line a fence or even climb a wall. The flowers are really pretty blue colors and would be great along side some other color flowers. The blue color I think is rare in most areas so it is pretty amazing to see.
