Description
Grow this world-famous wildflower as a novelty, but don’t expect the natural splendor Texas enjoys. These flowers, coupled with a few other famous species, make the Texas spring truly one of the world’s top natural wildflower shows. Away from home, bluebonnets are notoriously picky and slow to perform. By the way, officially, several lupine species are called “Texas Bluebonnet” and qualify as the Texas state flower; however, this is the most popular one. For surefire lupine meadow color, choose one of the easier non-bluebonnet lupine species, such as L. succulentus.

Comments about American Meadows Texas Bluebonnet Seeds:

Now my husband got it right and I had forgotten all about even ordering the seeds...so thanks for asking for my review. About 5 of the Bluebonnets came up last week and I love them in our Oklahoma backyard. They will drive our OU fans crazy!
I just hope they will spread because they are beautiful among the Indian Painbrush.
    Thanks,
    Mary A Webb

Comments about American Meadows Texas Bluebonnet Seeds:

My son married in August, 2009, in Springfield, Tennessee on his bride's family farm. There were basil plants, started by the bride, and bluebonnet seeds, instead of rice, for the guests to take home. We tossed them out in the fall, and they are coming up everywhere, in Nashville and Fort Worth and places beyond.[...] and in time for the wedding. These seeds have germinated better than any lupines I have every tried. The bluebonnets are a beautiful reminder of a memorable weekend and a marriage between Texas and Tennessee. I will be ordering more bluebonnet seed this fall for my 2011 garden in Texas.
