Description
This famous herb is terrific as a wildflower groundcover, or as a clump in a blooming meadow, since not only foliage, but flowers are lovely and lasting. However, it can become invasive. If seeded widely, it can fill a meadow area and exclude everything else within two or three years. Yarrow has a great medieval herbal history, and has been used in medicine and magic for centuries. It is also a favorite for dried flower arrangements.

Not pretty enough to deal with how invasive it can be and will choke other prettier plants

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Merchant response: Yes Yarrow can be aggressive when planted in large quantities. It’s commonly purchased for areas where people want it to spread and take over. If planting with other flowers I would recommend small quantities to start.
