The wildflower seed was used in th rough between #1 and #10 fairways to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Seeds were planted on April 6th and germination occurred within 10-14 days. Babys Breath were first to bloom followed by crimson clover. The wild cosmos grew to 5-6 feet tall and were beautiful from late July thru the last week of october. We had a problem with deer bedding in the cosmos starting in october, but lots of great comments from the golfers. The first wildflower garden was so successful that we are going to add another acre plot which will be planted this fall when ground temperatures are below 45 degrees. What a fantastic way to add color with very little maintenance. Anticipating the perrennial bloom next year of the cone flowers and scarlet sage.

We distributed our seeds in the fall of last year. By Mothers Day they looked beautiful. Many colors and lots of flowers. By July the area looked horrible, however we didn't get any rain and we do not have an outside hose for watering. We live in the country and have a cistern which the water in it, is either supplied by rain or hauling water to it. So, we were not able to give our area sufficient water. I will try again next year and pray for rain.

My mother, a Master Gardener, requested that we provide flower seeds at her Celebration of Life. I made them myself, selecting the Butterfly/Hummingbird attracting mix and attaching packets to bookmarks printed with antique flower motifs. I also added a poem that includes the line "see Heaven in a Wildflower" by William Blake. My 9-year old grandson went home and planted the seed immediately, and was thrilled that the seed began to sprout within 2 days. Mom would have been pleased at the performance of the seed, and I was more than pleased to be able to honor her love of hummingbirds, flowers, reading, and sharing the pleasure of gardening with everyone who came.

I have decided to do this because this area of my yard slopes badly, and is the location of an old tree root that makes planting difficult. I spread this mixture along the road and edge of our property and the look is wonderful.They take care of themselves after sprouting and will continue to grow for years! I love the mixture of colors and types.

I mixed this in with my deer resistant mix and it worked well. Not only did it attract butterflies, it attracted my niece!

For Christmas I built butterfly houses for my friends, and added a bag of the American Meadows Butterfly mix as my gift. My friends loved the combination, and were excited for warmer weather to use both the house and the seeds!
The final uses of these products turned out amazing --- a great resting place for the butterflies -- and many flowers for them to feed off of :-)

I love using seeds, you can plant in small spaces around existing plants without disturbing them or you can scatter over large areas! YOu can start in pots if you like and then transfer...So versatile! I love going out every day to see if they are sprouting - when they finally come up it's delightful to watch them grow! This is a good mix of different types of butterfly & hummingbird attracting plants - bees also come! I can't say enough about this company - I haven't had one single order of bad seeds or bulbs. I used them first for wedding favor seed packets - a lovely gift for guests. I was so pleased i decided to try them for my garden and have used them for 3 seasons now! I will continue - they're great! The seeds come beautifully packaged in cloth bags and bulbs in paper bags - all with very clear directions.

I planted the butterfly mix in the late Spring. Every time I went out to the wildflower area, it was full of countless butterflies. I plan to get more seed to expand the area and hope to draw even more butterflies.

I planted this mix in backyard (with my Granddaughter) 2 years ago. Our anticipation was well satisfied. We are still enjoying the beauty and smells of the garden. There were many varities of butterflys we had not seen before and we can hear the bees on a hot summer's day. This was easy to plant (even for little ones).
