We live out in the middle of cotton fields, and have no fence. We also have hard clay soil. I threw these seeds out along the border of our property, and they are coming up beautifully! I am very impressed that they managed to sprout in the clay soil! I can't wait to watch them bloom.

Huge blooms! Everything I expected! The only thing I didn't expect was the drooping heads. They apparently got so big, they bend over and face the ground so you really cant enjoy looking at them. This is probably true of large sunflowers, I've just never seen it before.

we grew these along two sunny outer walls of our house. They sprouted within 3 days and were off to the races to a final 12'-15' height. The giant heads were kept for this year's planting.

A late summer wind storm toppled the entire garden. It's something to try to address ahead of time.

used my sunflowers for bouquets at home, as gifts,and even in my church. everyone commented about how beautiful the sunflowers were. the bright green centers were such a suprise i sometimes just cut one flower and it was a beautiful arrangement by itself. The birds were so cute hanging upside down on the large dried seedheads eating the seed. will definitely order again.

We were unhappy that we only had one which was beautiful. We have many other varieties that are all blooming , so we don't understand why this one did not produce.

I was initially disppointed-then "boom"- three days of rain and some hot weather and I was surrounded by flowers on my four acres-especially the gigantic sunflowers. Dozens of people I've never met are saying "You're the Guy with All the Flowers"

Finally starting to pop up on 4th of July. Not responding in every planting context-only small percentage seems to be emerging(planted a full pound plus another type of sunflower)),but am anxious to see how they look in August.
