Description
This daisy, which is native to mountain areas in Western Europe, is somewhat larger and taller than our common wild (Ox-Eye) daisy, C. leucanthemum. It is also less aggressive, thus useful where the common wild daisy can become a pest. A favorite species of meadow gardeners, since these daisies create an unforgettable vision of beauty in full meadow bloom, waving in the wind.

Comments about American Meadows Shasta Daisy Seeds:

As is the case with most of my wildflower plantings, I enjoy the beauty of the flowers, but continue to be disappointed with the amount of germination. I don't know what I can do to improve the germination. I prepare the seed bed, mix the seed with clean sand, spread the seed, tamp the seeds down, and water at least twice daily for 4 - 6 weeks. I continue to be disappointed with the amount of germination with the exception of Alyssum.
