Reviews

Patience rewarded

"I dug out an area to start a wildflower garden this spring. Early results were disappointing and I sent a not-very-positive review a couple of months ago. Now in early September, it looks great so I'm sending this more accurate review!"

Quality seeds and no filler.

"Very nice quality seeds, they germinated very quickly and easily. I like that there's no filler, it's all seeds. I started several different little patches around my yard and gardens and they're all doing very well."

VB S. (5/5)

A little late blooming

"This was easy to plant but took a long time to bloom. Not really a ""mix"". Seems to be just cosmos and all one color."

Marve (3/5)

Big Disappointment

"I followed the directions and they did flower but this was not a variety mix - all cosmos. Very disappointed"

Marve (1/5)

Very happy I bought these wildflower seeds

"I mixed this seed mixture with the Spring into Summer mix for a hillside. Nothing ever grows on this hill except weeds. I kinda of tilled the soil mixed the seeds up and tossed them around. I spread a few bags of compost around and made sure that all seeds had good ground contact. I watered them a couple times earlier in the season and once these seeds sprouted they never stopped growing and flowering the flowers keep coming. My neighbors are super happy to look at them the bees butterflies and finches just love them I'm buying a lot more seeds next year to do the other side of my hill These are great seeds"

Funnybone (5/5)

We will be buying this mix again!

"We have a hard-to-get section of our yard that is seen by the neighborhood. We planted the seed mix and got results. The cosmos are beautiful and tall, dominating the space. We have gotten neighbors who have commented on the beauty of this bed of flowers. Thank you!"

Sunbonnet (5/5)

Covers a wide area with lush color

"I filled two large flowerbeds outside my house with the half-pound mix. Both are somewhat shaded throughout the day, and one side had a bit more trouble growing, probably as a result of too little sun. However, the other is now a lovely green wildflower meadow with beautiful colors interspersed. It also attracts good pollinating insects and keeps the soil in place on the slope. Very pleased with the results. #sweepstakes"

Carol (5/5)

Beautiful first months with part sun

"I planted two varieties one from American Meadows and another from Eden Garden. I was a little bit worried my area didn't have enough sun (about 3-4 hours of direct sunlight per day). I'm really amazed by the results. The flowers came out about 2 months after seeding. There are now many happy bees and butterflies in my garden. I'm curious what the rest of the summer brings, and what perennials will look like next year! My next step is to plant some flowers that are native to my area. Those apparently foster local habitat more."

Adam (5/5)

Bloomed In Spring & Early Summer . . . .

"This was the second wildflower mix I put in my wildflower strip, so I don't know what flowers bloomed this year from this mix or the first one. The first mix I planted last spring. This mix I planted last fall. I had all sorts of beautiful flowers, and regret I didn't photograph each one as they bloomed. The only problem was everything bloomed in April, May, June and early July. At the end of July, there were no flowers except for some black-eyed Susans. It wasn't from lack of rain, either. They just all bloomed in the same time period."

WoodyWoodpeckerette (4/5)

Prolific mini-meadow

"I am so impressed with this garden space from the seed mix. I'm not good with identifying all the varieties that arose, but early spring lots of poppies. When those faded, the black eyed Susans and cosmos came up. The little honey bees love it. I plan to keep expanding the bed in the front yard, and add additional beds to my side yard."
