This the first spring after planting last year. The first year yield was nice but this is impressive. I'm looking forward to what the mid and late summer selection will look like. This was a barren septic tank drain field area for our new home. There is quite a hill and slope, however, thanks to the wild flower population it looks like most of the soil is going to stay up where it belongs.

I purchased these seeds to help prevent erosion on a sloped area behind our lawn. I wanted a wild, untamed meadow look, and these wildflowers really fit the bill! We had gorgeous color the first summer we lived in our house! I can't wait to see them return this summer! The muslin cloth packaging was so attractive, I bought seeds for new neighbors. Nothing says "howdy neighbor" like flower seeds specific to your own neighborhood!

We have 3 acres, with a long slope away from the house that's difficult to mow. We sowed about an acre in the Southeast Mix last year and everyone loves the results! It attracts butterflies, bees and the neighbors stop by to ask about it! It's an ecologically sound solution with less mowing. It provides a beautiful foreground to our view of the blueridge mountains.

We plant these around the periphery of the property where the lawn meets the woods. They bloomed all summer long and were gorgeous!

It really isn't fair to comment on this product yet. We have the seeds in the ground; they are sprouting up. Actually looks like a green 5 o'clock shadow!! Fingers crossed for the blooms to be.

these were one of the favors at our wedding. we put them into little burlap satchets labeled with the instructions and our guests loved them. they are blooming beautifully all over the country and in other countries, too now! great reports from our guests.

This wildflower seed mix was a great fix for my front lawn. After putting in an additional driveway the construction guys had left my lawn looking awful. A huge mound of hard Tennessee earth was left in my front yard and I did not have the time or money to landscape the area. So I bought the wildflower mix and sprinkled it over the area and very quickly that piece of earth went from ugly to amazing. We ended up with a forest of beautiful wildflowers in the yard which I mowed paths through and enjoyed all summer and until the first frost. I love fresh flowers in the house and could go out at any time and cut away to my hearts content without changing the look of the flowers. Thanks for giving me an easy way to beautify house!

My husband wanted to plant a wildflower garden in our front yard. I encourage him to join me in my love of gardening so any support I can give includes supporting his plans... At the time I was not sure the front yard was the place, but good relationships take compromise. This is the 3rd year of our wild flower front yard garden and I love it. Neighbors walking past the house comment on the flowers. There are surprises every year. Reseeding, biannual blooms, and perennials surprise us each year with a very different display due to the year's rainfall or temperature. We both work full-time and one of our evening strolls is always to the wildflower garden to see what is blooming today. Good soil was the foundation for the seeds and then that was all it took. The rest is for the bees and butterflies. But be patient it takes time.

I ordered this mix last fall when it was offered with daffodil bulbs that would bloom while the wildflowers were growing. It delivered as promised. The daffodils came in beautifully and I now have lush growth which is getting ready to bloom.

We had a harsh (Florida) winter this year, and I was concerned about my little plants which had already started growing. They survived our freezes and are now lush and green. I'm looking forward to an explosion of color now that the weather has warmed.

As sole occupant of a tiny property on city's edge, I'm an organic gardener in 6th season of converting lawn to edible landscape and permaculture. 2008, first used Southeastern Wildflower Mix to naturalize roadside, and seeds sprouted heartily with first-bloomers already flowering wonderfully, when city mowed them down. Close to tears, I thought my project was ruined. Wonderful customer service rep at American Meadows listened to my story and my lament that replacement might not be possible, as my permaculture project is costly! Several days later a new bag of mixture arrived, without my seeking that--what compassion from American Meadows! I used some to sow just beside the mowed-down project, and they thrived last year while I eagerly await their 2010 show--some are already greeting the season! The rest of the seeds were sown on "Bird Row", the opposite property line and my bird/insect habitat-project begun last year. Truly, American meadows are happening, gloriously manifesting permaculture in the midst of urban pollution. Hearty, yes! Beautiful, yes! Luring birds, bees, ladybugs and butterflies?Oh, yes! And wild? Born to be! For the crop mowed down in infancy, 2 years ago, persists to this day...maybe a smaller crop, but--thanks to a good product--one with eternal promise. Even though the odds were against them, their health and vigor defied calamity. The city has since agreed to let the roadside meadow have its way, and I'm thankful for that. Moreover, I'm perfectly certain American Meadows offers wildflower seeds of the highest quality, or this story could not have had a happy ending. I work hard to be responsible to my tiny piece of planet, and I'm certain American Meadows works hard to offer healthy, vigorous wildflowers to us who love all things earthly.

I made my first wildflower garden, and used the instructions that came on the package. I used nothing else, and as they were wildflowers, it said to use no fertilizer or special soil. They were hardy, and used to surviving on their own in the 'wild'. With only sunshine and water, and mostly only water that God provided, they came out just beautiful. It was a wonderful variety of sizes, color, and fragrances that drove the birds and my senses wild. It was beautiful, and I was the envy of my sister in law, who feels she is perfect when it comes to flowers!
