Description
This is the Pink Queen in an otherwise rather ordinary, yellow-flowered group--the evening primroses. The famous pastel pink Showy Evening Primrose is a star in the Texas wildflower group. Lady Bird Johnson, herself, calls it her favorite, and tells in her writings how she personally worked at gathering seed and learning its habits. When established, it forms great mats that bloom with a spectacular burst of shimmering color. Sold as a garden perennial.

Germinates well and re-seeds itself. Low-maintenance. Works equally well in bunches by itself or mixed in with other wildflowers.

Comments about American Meadows Showy Evening Primrose Seeds (Oenothera speciosa) - 1/4 LB:

Showy Evening Primrose is great for a dry slope. It spreads continuously and vigorously overtime through undergrounds shoots. It doesn't need much water and blooms nicely in May here in East TN. It tends to look a little worn later in the summer, then I usually just use a weedeater to knock it down. It comes back nicely the next year right in spring.
