Anyone who has a sunny windowsill can grow herbs indoors. Our Windowsill Herb Garden Kit contains everything needed to grow 5 popular, easy-to-grow herbs, including our Windowsill Herb Seed Collection and 5 Eco-Friendly Pots and Saucers.

The collection includes 5 seed packets, one each of Dill, Coriander (also called Cilantro), Sweet Basil, Parsley and Chives. Not only are these some of the most popular culinary herbs, they're also some of the easiest to grow indoors. We've included 5 pots because it's best to give each herb its own pot, rather than planting them all in one big container. This ensures that each herb is getting the right amount of water and care. The pots and saucers are made from rice hulls and other renewable grain fibers. Sturdy and long lasting, the pots are about 3-1/2" in diameter and fit nicely on a sunny windowsill.

Create your own indoor herb garden or give as a thoughtful gift to a friend – they will be sure to thank you in 6-8 weeks when they are adding fresh herbs to their favorite dish!

              USDA Hardiness Planting Zones

To determine if a plant is sufficiently cold hardy, the USDA created numbered zones indicating winter low temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.

              • If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will survive the winter temperatures in your area.
              • If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).
