We just moved to UT from MS a few months ago. There was a Lavender Ice plant growing in our back flowerbed when we moved in. So glad to know what it is! It is now covered in about a foot of snow. Will it survive and come back next spring/summer? Also, are they hard to root or grow from seed? I love flowers and had a lot of different flowers/plants growing in my MS yard. Totally different climate here! Thank you for your help, and for all of the information!

      Hello JB,

Lavender is quite hardy so it wouldn't surprise me if it survives just fine. Most Lavender are more commonly grown in plant form as the growers buy up most of the seed supply. It can be grown from seed and it's not that difficult but the seed tends to be on the expensive side.

      Thanks again and Happy Gardening!
