Japanese Forest Grass is a lovely, low-maintenance choice for adding texture and brilliant color to shady spots. The broad, flat blades of foliage shoot upwards before gracefully arching back down, adding a sense of motion to the garden. Forest Grass prefers to make its home in the shade, as the gold, yellow and variegated varieties tend to bleach out and lose their color when planted in the sun. Incredibly easy to care for and not an aggressive spreader.
